Terms of Service

1. Agreement

Sunday Sluggers ("the Service", "we", "us") is a baseball and softball app for scoring games, tracking stats, and generating media about your games. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Your Account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for what happens under your account. One person per account — don't share credentials.

3. Teams, Crews, and Organizers

Anyone can create a team or crew on Sunday Sluggers and invite others to join it. The person who creates or administers a team (the "organizer") takes on responsibilities for the group:

• Adult teams and crews: By creating or administering a team, you represent that the people on your roster are OK with games being scored on Sunday Sluggers and with the Service generating media about them — recaps, stats, audio shows, and shareable game pages that may mention them by name.
• Youth teams: By creating or administering a youth team, you represent that you have permission from each player's parent or legal guardian to record their games and to generate media that mentions their child. Youth game pages carry the additional protections described in our Privacy Policy.

If someone on your roster tells you they don't want to be in the media, respect it — and point them to the opt-out described below.

4. Generated Media and Opt-Out

The Service uses AI to generate media from game data: written recaps, podcast-style audio episodes, post-game interview questions, and shareable game cards. This media can mention participants by name and describe their performance.

• Opt-out: Any player can opt out of generated media at any time from their profile in the app. Opted-out players are left out of newly generated recaps, episodes, and interview content.
• Non-users: If you appear in Sunday Sluggers media and don't have an account, email support@sundaysluggers.com and we'll honor your opt-out and remove existing media that names you.
• Accuracy: Generated media is written by AI from the scorebook. It's meant to be fun, not authoritative. If something is wrong or unfair, contact us and we'll take it down or fix it.

5. Share Links

Shared game pages are unlisted: they're reachable only by people who have the link, they're excluded from search engines, and organizers can turn sharing off. Treat a share link like handing someone the page. There is no public directory of youth games. Anyone who receives a shared link can open it, so share youth game links only with the people you intend to include.

6. Your Content

You keep ownership of the content you put into the Service — scores, photos, comments, profile info. You give us the license we need to operate the Service: to store your content, display it to your team, generate media from it as described above, and show it on pages you or your organizer choose to share.

7. Acceptable Use

Don't use the Service to harass anyone, impersonate anyone, post content you don't have the right to post, or interfere with the Service or other users. Don't score fake games to game stats or generated media about real people. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Fees

The Service is currently free. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, pricing and terms will be presented clearly before you're charged, and these Terms will be updated.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and request deletion of your account and data at any time (see Support). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We work hard to keep your scorebook accurate and available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free stats and media. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, while the Service is free, is zero).

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the new Terms here and note the date at the top. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.
